Origin Tea Australia supplies premium Single Origin Black and Green Ceylon Tea. The company was founded in November 2012 with the vision to become a market leader in the Australian Tea industry. Our philosophy comes from combining 100% hand plucked unblended tea to make high quality flavours.
The company is supported by The Pussellawa & Maturata Tea Estates, which are among the largest Tea Plantation Groups in Sri Lanka and Origin Tea Australia is the exclusive marketing arm of these two plantations.
The parent company currently owns 16,000 hectares of prime Tea land with 36 Tea Estates uniquely distributed in all tea growing regions, including High Grown, Mid Grown and Low Grown altitudes.
The company produces a total of 14 million kilos of high quality tea per year, employing over 16,500 skilled employees. Origin Tea has a commitment to continue to support local growers and communities through sustainable farming, with a vision of quality without compromise.
